Seraphim Czecker, head of growth at Ethena, has announced his resignation.
Czecker shared the “big personal news” in a post
“It has been a truly incredible and rewarding journey,” he wrote. “I joined the protocol around the seed round, fueled over $1 billion in DeFi partnerships while keeping Ethena top of mind 24/7, and had incredible fun doing it.”
The outgoing Ethena (ENA) team member says he was “actively” involved in the project, from zero to a multi-billion dollar success story. According to DeFiLlama, the total value of the stablecoin issuer USDe (USDe) is currently close to $6 billion. Much of the rollercoaster growth is due to huge demand from yield-hungry investors.
While he is stepping down from his role at the crypto project, Czecker says his decision was also because he was “tired.”
“The company is entering a different phase of growth [but] To be honest, I’m tired of DeFi too. I’ve been doing this for years without any real holidays, have worked with all major liquidity providers, protocols and KOLs in this space and deserve some peace and quiet. I’ve literally done everything you could do in DeFi,” he noted.
Czecker plans to continue to support Ethena from outside and will allow himself one to two months of well-deserved rest and rest.
